Watercraft Registration

Only watercraft with a Floating City badge will be permitted to use the lock gates.

Daily 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Boats returning after closing time may be charged call out fee.

All other water craft

All watercraft must be registered and be issued a Floating City badge to be able to use the lock gates. Follow the directions in the form below to obtain your badge. 

Please note:

 

All boats and Jet Skis must be insured with a minimum of third party coverage of no less than BHD 10,000 per occurrence.

The homeowner fees for the villa or flat associated with the registered watercraft must be paid and the account be current in order to be issued a badge and for the watercraft to be able to continue using the canal and lock gates.

 

The name of the owner and operator of the watercraft, the name of the insured party on the insurance and the name on the lease and/or title deed must all be the same.

Status:

The lock gates are operational according to the published Operating Hours of 6:00AM to 6:00PM. 

Regular flushing of the canal is being carried out.

Registration for watercraft to use the lock gates:

Documentation required:
 

1. Completed forms described below

2. Title deed of the property

3. Proof / receipt that the Floating City fees have been paid

4. Property owner's CPR copy 

5. Rental agreement (if you are not the property owner)

6. The watercraft owner's CPR
7. The registration card of the boat or jetski
8. The sailing / navigation permit in the case of a boat

9. Proof of insurance on the boat or jetski

All documents must be valid (not expired). The name of the owner and operator of the watercraft, the name of the insured party on the insurance and the name on the lease and/or title deed must all be the same.

 

Step 1: Complete the User Registration Form 

 

Step 2: Complete and sign the Waiver Form

 

Step 3: Submit the User Registration Form and the required documentation. When all documents are completed, email them to FCCANALOPS@AdvisAqua.com

 

Step 4: After your completed form and all documentation is received, the file will be submitted to the Floating City Homeowners Association Board of Directors for review and approval. Once the board approves it, you will receive a message as to when you can collect your high-visibility sticker to be affixed to your watercraft.
